Investigators are looking for a man who used a machete to rob a convenience store on the northwest side in July.

A man who stole cash from a Tucson convenience store while armed with a machete is being sought by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

The robbery occurred about 4:30 a.m. July 2 at the Quik Mart store at 4611 N. Flowing Wells Road, north of West Wetmore Road, a department news release says.

A clerk emptied the register’s drawer into a bag and the man ran off, the release said.

The robber had a thin build, was about 5-feet 11-inches tall and wore a black ski mask, black shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.
