A man was arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Cochise County early last month, officials say.

The incident happened at a business in Pirtleville on Sept. 6, according to a news release from the Cochise County Sheriff's Office. The name of the business was not immediately available.

Several leads and evidence led investigators to 32-year-old Mario Arvayo-Ruiz, a resident of Pirtleville, according to a news release from the Cochise County Sheriff's Office.

Officials obtained a search warrant for Arvayo-Ruiz's home and were able to arrest him last week. 

He was booked into the Cochise County jail and is facing charges of robbery, aggravated assault, and kidnapping. 

No further information has been released about the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
