Authorities have identified the man who died after being hit by a train on Tucson's south side Friday afternoon.
Pima County Sheriff's deputies found 59-year-old Angel Morales seriously injured near Old Nogales Highway and Nogales Highway shortly after 1:30 p.m., said James Allerton, a department spokesman.
Paramedics took Morales to a hospital but he was pronounced dead.
This is an ongoing investigation. No further information has been released.
