A 23-year-old driver was fatally injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Thursday on the Tucson area's southwest side, the sheriff's department reports.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department gave the following account in a news release:
The crash was reported shortly after 12:30 p.m. Nov. 7 in the area of South Mission Road and West Holladay Road, near West Drexel Road.
Deputies found the driver, Emiliano Sanchez, who had been thrown from a vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital and later died.
Preliminary findings indicate Sanchez was traveling south on Mission Road in a 2002 GMC Sierra at a high speed when he lost control, drove off the road and the vehicle overturned.ย ย
