Tucson police officers are investigating a shooting incident after a man was seriously wounded on the city's south side Tuesday evening.

Shortly before 6 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Circle K, 4570 S. Campbell Ave., for reports that a man had been shot.

Police say the man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after the incident.

No one is in custody, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson police spokesman.

No further information has been released.
