Carol McGorray

Marana is accepting applications from residents interested in serving the remaining term of Councilwoman Carol McGorray.

McGorray, 77, who died March 22, served on the Marana Town Council since she was first elected in 2001. She is survived by six of her seven children.

The Town Council will make the appointment in the coming weeks. Those interested must be at least 18 years old, be registered to vote and be a current resident who has lived in the town for at least one year prior to the appointment.

Applications should either be submitted electronically at maranaaz.gov or hand delivered with a rΓ©sumΓ© attached to: Marana Town Clerk, 11555 W. Civic Center Drive, Marana, AZ, 85653, by no later than noon on April 13.

McGorray’s term expires in November.
