Sonoran Corridor Vicinity Map

The Arizona Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration are hosting an information meeting Wednesday, Sept. 26, to take public comments on the proposed Sonoran Corridor.

The Sonoran Corridor, if built, would connect Interstate 10 and Interstate 19 south of the Tucson International Airport, relieving congestion at the existing I-10/I-19 interchange south of downtown Tucson.

The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Desert Diamond Casino, 7350 S. Nogales Highway.

The Sept. 26 meeting is a follow-up to public meetings held in Tucson and Sahuarita in June 2017 at the beginning of a three-year environmental impact study of the area.
