A single motorcyclist is listed in serious condition after driving off the Mt Lemmon Highway Sunday afternoon, said Ryan Inglett, a public information officer with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
The male motorcyclist was airlifted to Banner-University Medical Center after going off the road around 3:20 p.m. near milepost 20, Inglett said.
The roadway was closed for several hours to allow the helicopter to use the area to airlift the man off the mountain.
