A lead plane circles high overhead of the Box Fire, near Madera Canyon in the Santa Rita Mountains south of Tucson on Feb. 12, 2018.

Multiple agencies are battling a brush fire in Box Canyon, located in Tucson's Santa Rita Mountains, officials said.

The fire is estimated to be between 5 and 10 acres, according to a Facebook post from Green Valley Fire District.

Fuel for the fire is considered to be low to moderate, the post said.

Tubac and Rio Rico Fire Districts, along with the state forest service, are also on hand to battle the blaze.

Pima County Sheriff's deputies are assisting in traffic control efforts, saying that the intersection of Box Canyon Road, Whitehouse Canyon Road and Madera Canyon Road has been shut down due to the fire.
