Border agents apprehended two large groups of undocumented immigrants west of Lukeville this week, officials say.

The first group was encountered on Tuesday afternoon, said a news release from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The group was made up of 164 people.

The second group, of 100 people, was found the following day in the same area. Both groups included families and unaccompanied children from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.

The groups were processed for immigration violations.

Agents have apprehended more than 1,200 people in the same area and similar group sizes within the last three months, the release says.
