An open house on the Tangerine corridor construction project is planned for Thursday, Nov. 19.

Extensive roadway improvements are planned for Tangerine Road between Twin Peaks Road and La Cañada Drive beginning in early 2016.

The project is part of the larger improvement plan approved under the Regional Transportation Authority plan vote of 2006. The plan includes improvements to a 10-mile portion of the Tangerine corridor from Interstate 10 to La Cañada Drive.

Among the planned improvement are widening the roadway to four lanes, landscaping medians, eliminating dip crossings, upgrading culverts, providing facilities for pedestrian and bicycle traffic and adding turn lanes and traffic signals at major intersections.

The open house is scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. at The Highlands at Dove Mountain, 4949 W. Heritage Club Blvd., in Marana.

More information on the project can be found at www.tangerineroad.info.
