A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run collision along South Kolb Road Wednesday evening, authorities say.

Tucson police re-opened South Kolb Road early Thursday morning after shutting down northbound traffic from East Calle Betelgeux to East 29th Street. 

The pedestrian involved was still in critical condition as of a 1:37 a.m. tweet by the Tucson Police Department.

No additional information has been released.
