Raul Grijalva was born in Tucson and graduated from Sunnyside High School and the University of Arizona. He served on the Tucson Unified School District board from 1974β1986. He was elected to the Pima County Board of Supervisors in 1989 and the U.S. House of Representatives in 2002.
