Tucson police identified the man struck and killed by a vehicle as he attempted to cross a midtown street in a wheelchair Wednesday evening.
Police say Glynn Williams, 55, was crossing East Grant Road and North Haskell Avenue when a westbound vehicle on Grant struck him around 9:30 p.m.
He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at a hospital.
Witnesses told police Williams was not in a crosswalk when the crash occurred.
The driver remained at the scene and said they didn't see Williams before hitting him.
Neither speed nor impairments appear to be factors in the collision. No arrests have been made as of Saturday afternoon.
