A Mazda minivan is seen in the intersection of South Tucson Boulevard and East Drexel Road after a collision with a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix on Friday. A woman passenger in the Pontiac was killed

A woman was killed after a two vehicle collision at South Tucson Boulevard and East Drexel Road on Friday afternoon, according to the Tucson Police Department.

Michelle M. Martinez, 20, was identified as the passenger in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix that was traveling north at 2:30p.m. on Tucson Boulevard, police said.

Martinez was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and died shortly after her arrival. Two adult male drivers were also sent to a hospital with minor injuries, police said. There were no other occupants.

Detectives determined the Pontiac entered the intersection on a green light, and the driver made a left turn in front of a 2012 Mazda minivan traveling southbound.

The Mazda struck the Pontiac's front passenger door where Martinez was seated. She was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
