lights and sirens

Two motorcycle riders were injured — one of them gravely — when their bikes crashed into each other on a busy street.

The accident closed the southbound lanes of North Oracle Road near West Roger Road for about an hour Tuesday morning as the Tucson Police Department investigated.

Details of the crash were not immediately available, nor were identities of the drivers, though police said both were adult males.

"One has serious injuries and the other is non-life-threatening," TPD said in a Twitter post around 8 a.m.
