A Tucson man was arrested Tuesday after traveling to Florence to have sex with who he believed was a 14-year-old girl, but turned out to be an undercover detective, authorities said.
Alejandro Telles, 39, was taken into custody and booked into the Pinal County jail on suspicion of attempted sexual conduct with a minor, and luring of a minor, said Navideh Forghani, a Pinal County Sheriff's spokeswoman.
Detectives began talking to Telles early Tuesday, and an investigator posed as a teen, said Forghani. Authorities said that Telles "was quite explicit and inappropriate during his conversation" with the detective.
Then hours after the conversation, Telles drove to Florence to meet who he thought was the teen, and was taken into custody.
No further information was released.
