Tucson police are currently in the running for a grant that would help fund upgrades to their training facility, which is used for the police dogs.
If TPD is selected, the grant will come from Aftermath, a company that provides crime scene cleanup services to families. The company plans to award a total of $16,500 to eight departments across the country. First place winners would take home $5,000.
Folks can vote for their favorite department — including TPD, which is currently in second place. If the department stays in second place, it'll win a $4,000 grant.
Voting continues until Monday, Nov. 5. You can vote once every 12 hours on Aftermath's website. You can also vote on Aftermath's Instagram page by liking and commenting on their daily grant postings.
