The Oak Fire north of Sonoita had burned about 3,210 acres and was 60% contained as of Sunday.Β 

All lanes of Arizona 83, known as the Sonoita highway, reopened Saturday night, the Arizona Department of Transportation says.

The highway had been closed since Friday afternoon due to the Oak Fire.

The wildfire north of Sonoita, which started Friday, had burned an estimated 3,213 acres and was 60% contained as of Sunday, unchanged from the day before, Coronado National Forest said in a Tweet.Β 

"Lines held well throughout the night and were not tested," the Tweet said. "Internal burn pockets but no changes along the perimeter.

"A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for today. Possible Red Flag Warning for later this afternoon (Sunday)."Β 

The fire was burning on national forest land as well as Bureau of Land Management and state lands.
