Cool, sparkling chardonnay Shabbat services are returning to Temple Emanu-El.
Beginning at 5 p.m. Fridays, congregants, visitors and guests will meet to socialize with friends and family members and enjoy a cool glass of wine or juice and nosh on fruits and cheeses. Then at 5:45 p.m., RabbiΒ Samuel M. Cohon, RabbiΒ Batsheva AppelΒ and cantorial soloistΒ Marjorie HochbergΒ usher in the Jewish Sabbath with musical Kabbalat Shabbat services. This will be the templeβs Friday evening schedule through Aug. 29.
