Lori Tucker, left with bell, and Elizabeth Stember.

What: Ben’s Bells promote kindness and community involvement. Each week a person who makes Tucson better is “belled.”

Last week’s recipient: Lori Tucker.

Nominated by: Elizabeth Stember.

Why: For her many acts of kindness and generosity. Tucker works tirelessly to help others and inspires everyone with her kindness, Stember wrote in her nomination letter. Tucker has helped and been an advocate for three families dealing with a seriously ill family member. She has organized meal trains for families in need. She has served as a coach, mentor and music director. She has helped young people dealing with issues of drugs and suicide. She has raised money for children to attend summer camp and for a family dealing with a sudden death. “Lori spreads her ray of light in every corner of her world. Her life is an influential demonstration of faith, love, and service — all displayed with beautiful humility,” Stember wrote.
