A man was seriously injured when struck by a Union Pacific train in Tucson Friday morning.
Shortly before 8 a.m., he was hit by a southbound train as he stood on the railroad tracks near Irvington and Drexel roads.Β
His injuries were not considered life threatening.
Irvington between South Sixth and Park avenues was closed for several hours while the train was blocking the roads.Β
No further information has been released.
