A 26-year-old Tucson woman was killed in a Tuesday night rollover crash on Interstate 10 near Ina Road, officials said.
Shortly after midnight, a 1996 Toyota sedan was driving eastbound on I-10 near Ina, when the car drifted across the median and struck a Chevy pickup truck traveling westbound, said Trooper Kameron Lee, an Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman.
The Toyota rolled and trapped the driver, who had to be extricated from the vehicle by rescue crews. She was taken to a local hospital and pronounced deceased, Lee said.
The woman was identified as Aileen Sanchez Armenteros.
The pickup truck's two occupants, a 43-year-old driver and 82-year-old passenger, were taken to the hospital and admitted for treatment of their injuries, Lee said.
DPS will release the victim's identity later today, after the family has had some time to process the death of their loved one, Lee said.
