Tucson hits 102

Tucson hit 102 degrees Thursday at 3:32 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. It was the first triple-digit day of 2016.

Temperatures Friday through Sunday are forecasted as follows:

  • Friday 104 to 109 degrees
  • Saturday 106 to 112 degrees
  • Sunday 105 to 111 degrees

On Monday, June 6, through Thursday, June 9, the highs are expected to reach 99 to 109 degrees, says the weather service.

Stay hydrated and wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothes and use plenty of sunscreen.

Keep an eye on children and the elderly.

Also keep your pets in cool, shaded areas and provide them with plenty of water.Β
