A man Tucson police say was shot to death during a fight with his wife has been identified.

Reilly Thacker, 21, was found shot and unresponsive on the floor of the couple’s apartment Wednesday evening when officers and paramedics arrived at a complex at 8601 E. Old Spanish Trail, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a police spokesman.

Paramedics took over CPR efforts from the wife. Efforts to save Thacker failed, however, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives determined that Thacker and his wife were involved in a physical fight when she picked up a handgun and shot him. She was the one who called 911, a police news release said.

No arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.
