Tucson firefighters treat patients of a vehicle collision at Wilmot Road and Carondolet Drive, outside St. Joseph's Hospital. The crash took out a traffic signal.

A serious-injury vehicle collision restricted traffic along northbound Wilmot Road Friday afternoon.

Two people, including one with serious injuries, were taken to a hospital, said Officer Ray Smith, a Tucson police spokesman. The crash occurred at 3:30 p.m., Smith added.

Northbound Wilmot Road at Carondelet Drive, which is north of Broadway Boulevard was restricted to one lane.

The eastbound and westbound lanes of Carondelet Drive were shut down for several hours. Police cleared the roadway at 7:10 p.m.
