Don't think you can beat that Tucson heat (copy)

An excessive heat warning for Tucson begins at 10 a.m. as temperatures approach the daily record of 107 degrees set in 2015, the National Weather Service says. 

Weather officials advise residents to:

  • Plan to drink more water.
  • If possible, avoid outdoor activities.
  • Have a plan to keep you, your family and pets to stay cool.

The warning should be lifted by 8 p.m. Thursday. Storm chances could  increase by the end of the work week while temperatures remain above average.
