Today will be the last day of below normal highs, before temperatures begin to increase significantly by this weekend.

Temperatures this weekend and early next week are expected to be the hottest on record in nearly 20 years, with Sunday's high topping out at 116 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Tucson.
