Caltrops, sometimes known as summer poppies, flourish in desert canyons and along city streets.

Temperatures continue to climb as the week progresses, with today's highs hovering in the low-90s and accompanied by sunny skies and a light afternoon breeze.

Although Friday has a strong chance of being Tucson's first 100 degree day of 2016, don't rule Thursday out just yet. Despite the forecast of partly cloudy skies, temperatures are expected to climb into the high-90s and possibly hit 100.
