Rain and much cooler temperatures will roll into town this week, as a Pacific storm system makes its way into the area.
Heavy clouds will roll into the region today into Tuesday, followed by scatter showers on Tuesday.
Widespread rain and mountain snow is expected Tuesday night, as a cold front with gusty winds pushes through the area. While rainfall totals aren't expected to be very impressive, measuring between 0.1 to 0.5 of an inch, 4 to 7 inches of snow is possible for elevations above 7,000 feet.
Rainfall will taper off Wednesday and be accompanied by below normal temperatures before a gradual warming trend begins at the end of the week.
