A newborn bighorn sheep lamb was spotted with its mother Friday in the Catalina Mountains north of Tucson, state wildlife officials reported.

The department released several photos and videos of the lamb on Wednesday.

It’s the fourth lamb to be born of a group of 31 bighorns relocated to the Catalinas from the Yuma area in November, said a notice on the Arizona Game and Fish Department website.

The little bighorn was observed by a biologist working with the reintroduction project, which is aimed at rebuilding a bighorn herd that disappeared from the Catalinas in the 1990s.

Sixteen of the 31 relocated sheep have died.
