The Educational Enrichment Foundation needs volunteers for their upcoming "Stuff the Bus" event to help Tucson Unified School District students receive much needed school supplies July 21.

Approximately 75 volunteers are needed for the event fromΒ 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Walmart Supercenter, 7150 E. Speedway Blvd. and Palo Verde High Magnet School on 1302 S. Avenida Vega.

Greeters will help with donations at the locations while unloaders are needed to take the school supplies items off the bus, organizers said.Β

β€œIt becomes a real challenge when parents are handed a list of school supplies," Pamela Francis, the foundation's executive director, told the Star in 2017. She said the event helps those families that simply can't afford everything required for school.

TUSD employees, families and friends can volunteer by signing up on the event page.
