Tucson has received lots of rain — and hail — today.

Shortly before 10 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a significant weather advisory for Northeastern Pima County, which includes Tucson.

A severe thunderstorm warning was also in place until 3 p.m. and a flood advisory is in place until 3:15 p.m., both for areas including Tucson.

A severe thunderstorm warning was also issued for areas south of Tucson including Nogales, Rio Rico, and Tubac. A small stream flood advisory was put in place for the same area.

The Sahuarita area has reportedly seen hail greater than an inch in diameter — the National Weather Service says it's the size of ping pong balls.

Beyond the rain and hail, Tucson is also experiencing strong winds.

Also, the intersection of East Grant Road and North Campbell Avenue is currently closed due to a traffic light outage, though it's unknown if it was related to the storm.

A power outage also briefly affected 1,200 Tucson Electric Power customers shortly before 11 a.m. TEP's outage map said poles or wires were down in the area near East Glenn Street and North Dodge Boulevard.

And don't forget — with heavy rainfall could come flooding. In the event of flooding, always remember to take the proper safety precautions
