A CV-22 Osprey like this one at Hurlburt Field, Fla., crashed in Marana on April 8, 2000, killing 19 Marines.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 9, at Marana Northwest Regional Airport for those killed there in a crash 16 years ago.

The service starts at 10 a.m. at the airport, 11700 W. Avra Valley Road in Marana. Former Marine and retired police officer Kim DeMarco is the guest speaker.

The ceremony honors the 19 Marines who were killed during a nighttime combat scenario test flight of the Osprey hybrid aircraft in 2000.
