Wayne Osmond, a member of the pop band The Osmonds, has died at the age of 73. His siblings and fellow band members Donny and Marie told ABC and Fox News that he "passed away peacefully" surrounded by his family. The Osmond family paid tribute to Wayne in a statement, saying, "His legacy of faith, music, love, and laughter have influenced the lives of many people around the world." Wayne's brother, Merrill, took to Facebook to mourn his passing and revealed that he had suffered a "massive stroke" prior to his death. "I've never known a man that had more humility. A man with absolute(ly) no guile. An individual that was quick to forgive and had the ability to show unconditional love to everyone he ever met," wrote Merrill in the post. Jay Osmond wrote in a post on Facebook that he "felt most connected to Wayne out of all of my siblings." The Osmonds began as a barbershop quartet in 1958, with Wayne and his brothers rising to fame through performances on 'The Andy Williams Show' in the 1960s. Wayne was celebrated for his musical versatility, mastering multiple instruments and playing a key role in the group's success across both pop and country music genres.
