Re: More Tucson voters shed independent status for traditional parties. In Pima County, there are nearly 5 percent fewer people who didn’t pick a party.

Edeiwmurk Nivek: This is meaningless without polling to find out why people switched. I only changed my registration to Democratic so I could vote for Bernie Sanders in the primary. I still vote as an independent and always will.

Jennifer White Simon:Β I did the same, as I suspect many others did. Now it's time to change back. This was a good reminder.

Jen Nicole Edwin:Β A lot of us no longer feel either major party represents us, but we still expect to exercise our right to vote, especially in taxpayer-funded primaries and elections.

Jonathan Wilhelmsen: Doesn't surprise me. I am registered third party and I received numerous mailers stating, essentially, that my third party is not recognized and I needed to choose between the Dems or Republican, which really are two heads of the same monster. I didn't change so I have no idea what I am now.

Mary Harris: How many were actually registered with a party until mysteriously they were undeclared and had to re-register? Remember that mess a few months ago?

David Moore: This article does not mention that many Democrats switched over to the Green party due to disgust over the Democratic Party being taken over by Clinton Conservatives.

Melissa Archibald: I am staying independent I don't want to be affiliated with any party.
