Re: the July 13 article "O'odham notes show interest in casino site in '02."

Am I the only one who sees the irony in this whole kerfuffle? For years the white man’s government lied to Native Americans about its intentions and ignored the treaties it made with them.

Now the Tohono O’odham Nation hides its true intentions and beats the voters, the Arizona state government and Salt River Pima Maricopa Indians at the game, taking full advantage of the rules that allow them to replace lost tribal land.
