Re: the Nov. 5 "Is Tucson's All Souls' Procession cultural appropriation?"
I wanted to address this article, as I am Mexican-American and the All Soulsβ Procession has been a tradition for my family. This isnβt claimed as a Mexican Holiday, itβs just a celebration of the deceased. The procession is full of all classes, races, creeds, and ages, all coming together to show their own way in horning the deceased. I would rather focus on the positives as our community comes together and have a good time without trying to exclude someone based on their cultural aspect. As all souls means just that, death is inclusive to everyone.
