Re: the Aug. 10 article "UA's vet school proposal rejected."
Could you send someone to report the whole story about the UA Veterinary School rather than make it all about one more strike against President Ann Weaver Hart? In this case sheβs made the βmistakeβ of supporting a common sense plan that will provide a much needed service for the state of Arizona while reducing student debt load. I think our state chose wisely to back this plan with a little bit of startup funds.
In response to the question of location, from what I understand, as the wife of a UA College of Agriculture and Life Sciences employee, Oro Valley is not the only venue that will be providing real-world training to veterinary students. There are sites across the state, including the Campbell Avenue farm. Give us all the facts, not just Bruce Wheelerβs opinion about someone he βhas clashed withβ before and who βplans to call on the Arizona Board of Regents βto expedite her departure.ββ The story should not be about President Hart, it should be about the Vet School proposal.
