Re: Council adds more restrictions to the sale of guns at the TCC, which could spark a lawsuit.

Rae Saunders: Another example of how politicians waste their time passing useless laws (no gun shows at the TCC already) to pander to the emotions of their constituents who are ignorant of the laws already in place.

Bill Perry:Β Big deal, that's really gonna stop a criminal dead in his tracks, huh? Anyone can buy a gun from a private citizen any day of the week, no tax, no registration, etc., same with high capacity magazines. Besides you can always just carry more magazines, so what good did they really do?

Brian Sowle:Β Well done. A tiny step forward, but a step forward nonetheless.

Kathy Erickson:Β Finally someone does something. Thank you!

Matthew Daughtery:Β I want a end to gun violence and I am pro-NRA. That being said, this maneuver is nothing but a pandering ploy for votes and idiotic idealistic thoughts of "let's hop on the bandwagon."

Joe Adragna: They already aren't held at the TCC. They haven't been since 2012. This ordinance literally did nothing.

Cory Tollman: So essentially besides the "feel good" side of it this is just going to get the city fined $50,000 by the state for passing a law that goes against state law. Awesome, we have so much extra money we should waste it by being fined and fighting that fine in court.Β

Albert Joseph: Nearly 60 years ago, I had a semiautomatic .22 rifle with a tubular magazine that held something like 20 rounds. Little did I know that at that tender age I was already embarked on a life of crime. But decisions have consequences; as the article points out, the gun shows have simply moved elsewhere, taking the revenue with them.
