Re: Overdose deaths from opioids a complex problem statewide.
Julie Tsethlikai: This does not address people with legitimate need and reasons to take this medicine. They arenโt users and would take any other option if it allowed a quality of life. Not all who are on these meds are addicts! Show the whole picture or none at all.
Samantha Trace: I find it funny that people who truly need the medication get nothing. I had four fractures in my back and was told to take Tylenol. Life gets pretty miserable when you canโt walk further than a few hundred feet before youโre in tears.
Diann Whitson Brown: Legalize marijuana and that would solve a lot of the addiction problems.
Sampson U. Ramirez: When are we going to carpet-bomb the poppy fields of Afghanistan?
Jen Wagner: Not that complex โ stop prescribing them.
Re: Searchers find missing hiker dead in Ventana Canyon. Fourth person in Tucson to succumb to record heat wave.
Annette Munoz: Of the five people who died over the weekend in southeast Arizona, only one was a local, the fitness trainer who was riding her bike north of Phoenix. All were outside, voluntarily exercising in 112-plus temps. Our heat is, deadly, but somehow we all need to do a better job of spreading that word.
Barbara Golias: Even native Tucsonans drive through flooded washes when they know better. Tragic, no matter how you slice it.
