It would be very interesting within a 6 month to one year time frame, to compare new restaurant openings to closed restaurants. I suspect and would guess, the number of restaurant closings would far exceed the new restaurants.

Additional interesting statistics would be the life span (how long a restaurant survived) for the closed restaurants and the locations.

Comparing these statistics to the overall development of the Tucson economy would also be of interest.
