The Weather Channel polled viewers about what temperature is "sweater weather"

Until this week, a discussion of what constitutes sweater weather was enough to make us start sweating in our shorts and flip-flops.

But today's forecasted high is 66 degrees and it's time to celebrate with a map.

The Weather Channel polled people to find out the average temperature at which people break out their sweaters in each state.Β The national average isΒ 60 degrees.

Arizona and Nevada have the highest average, bundling up at 65 degrees. South Dakota had the lowest at 51.

65 degrees: Arizona, Nevada

63 degrees: Florida

62 degrees: Alabama

61 degrees: California

60 degrees: Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia Wyoming

59 degrees: Arkansas, Illinois, New Mexico

58 degrees: Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Colorado

57 degrees: Massachusetts

56 degrees: Kentucky

55 degrees: Idaho, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin

51 degrees: South Dakota
