Taliban desperate for money, selling tourist tickets to Afghan monuments it destroyed

The Taliban are in desperate need of money, to the point they are selling tickets to tourists to visit ancient monuments that they themselves blasted to pieces. The report from the Washington Post says that’s the case for a Taliban 1,500-year-old Buddha that got demolished in 2001 in a purge of non-Islamic art. Veuer’s Maria Mercedes Galuppo has the story.
