I teach High School and have lived in Phoenix for the last 22 years. I went into teaching after working 10 years in the Telecom sector. I have a BA, MA, and MBA that my past employers paid for.
The damage to education has already been done. A lot of good teachers have already left the State and in some cases the country. A record number of teachers are yet to accept their contracts for next year. I know two teachers in my HS who headed for Quatar. Arizona lacks the talent pool to attract innovative companies in Biotech and AI. Our legislature has a stone age mentality tied to tax cuts Only. Doug Dicey and his fellow Repugnants lack imagination because they are slaves to corporate tax cuts. One solution would be to reduce property taxes and increase the sales tax.
