I try hard to resist these types of arguments because they cannot be won. But when an otherwise solid reporter like Zack Rosenblatt goes way out on a limb with a totally unnecessary comment like "arguably the best rb ever out of S. Arizona," well you know it is gonna get the goat of some of us old timers.
Darrel Davis, Joe Petroshus, Jesse Parker, any of the Amphi Bate brothers, Fred Sims, David Adams, Alistar Heartsfield.. Oh yeah he said S. Arizona, so how far up I-10 can we go? The Casa Grande Malone brothers, who all played in the NFL. The Robinson boys out of Marana. Those are just some of the great ones from my day. Read your own paper. You guys did a great piece not long ago on some of the great backs going back to the fifties.
