The big difference between the Tomey years and the more recent coaches at U of A is this; you have all these great recruiters and 4 and 5 star recruits but lack the staff to develop players. at the college level it's all about the ability of the coaches to develop the skill level of players, especially at a place like U of A.
Coach Tomey and his staff could develop walk-on, 2 and 3 star players and develop them into wining teams, NFL draft picks and good men. I wonder what a Teacher, Motivator and game Situation adjuster like a Coach Tomey could do with a multi million dollar facility and the salary pool for assistant coaches like U of A has now?
