Florida residents rescued after Hurricane Helene hits the Southeastern US

Florida was hit with strong winds and flooding on Friday as Hurricane Helene crashed into the state’s eastern coast as a Category 4 storm. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office shared footage of communities bearing the brunt of the storm system, with a couple stranded near Fort Myers Beach needing to be rescued with boats.
