When the Houston Astros fired managerΒ Bo PorterΒ last week, it put into jeopardy the roles of two Tucsonans on the Astros coaching staff: pitching coachΒ Brent StromΒ and bullpen coachΒ Craig Bjornson, a Tucson High grad. That’s life in the big leagues, although Strom and Bjornson were not among those immediately released by Houston.
