RichRod set to unveil new D-line coach

Arizona football coach Rich Rodriguez is likely to hire former Arizona State defensive lineman Vince Amey to be the UA’s defensive line coach this week. Amey, part of the Sun Devils’ 1996 Rose Bowl team, has been a strength and conditioning coach at Arizona for three years, and in 2015 was an analyst on the defensive staff. His only true coaching background is from Scottsdale Chaparral High School. Hiring Amey would mean that Arizona passed on three notable Tucson coaches, all with extensive defensive line backgrounds: Ricky HunleyOsia Lewis and Mike Tuiasosopo
